Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA as well as the new Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The reporter also was on numerous trips with Vice President and President of the United States as well as a secret trip to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin is also adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary-style films for companies such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor in Science in Journalism that she earned at Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
